To any British jaydam fans wanting Dwell magazine!

Turns out WH Smiths stock it in store! (Well in my local store they do)
I went in and they only had the may issue but they said they are hoping for the June issue to come in on Monday so maybe that’s when it’s coming in for all British WH Smith’s but I’m not sure so check in your local store!

In my library: Jayma Mays

“Glee” returns for a second season Sept. 21 and Jayma Mays, for one, can’t wait. “I feel sometimes I’m a fan more than part of the show,” says the woman who plays saucer-eyed virgin Emma Pillsbury, who is in love with glee club director Will Schuester. “We’ve got wonderful women characters on this show, and that’s a rarity — especially when you’ve got three men writing it!”

Expect John Stamos to shake things up next season, when he plays what Mays calls “my dentist-slash-boyfriend.”

“I feel like, maybe, the tables are turning, and Will will have to fight for Emma, more than vice versa,” she tells The Post’s Barbara Hoffman. “I want her to be fought for a little bit!” Here’s what’s in Mays’ library.

The Help

by Kathryn Stockett

I heard they were making a film of this with some amazing people involved: Viola Davis and Emma Watson. It’s told from the point of view of two black women and two white women from the South. I’m always a little romantic about the South — I grew up in Virginia. I cringed a few times because it gets into the bigotry in the ’60s.

The Little Stranger

by Sarah Waters

I’m friends with a guy who works at Little, Brown, and he knows I love a good mystery. It’s set in post-World War II England, and it’s a great look at the class system. The house is basically the main character — it comes to life and infects the people who dwell in it. I haven’t read a book in a while that made me sleep with the light on. It’s that scary.

Eat, Pray, Love

by Elizabeth Gilbert

When I first read it, I didn’t love the Gilbert character. I thought she was whiny: You’ve got an amazing life, what’s the problem? But then I realized it didn’t matter what material things you have if you’re not happy. I saw a screening last weekend and thought Julia Roberts did an even better job of making the character sympathetic. It’s a good travel book as well. I want to go everywhere Elizabeth went!

Gordon Ramsay’s Healthy Appetite

You get the feeling he’s passionate when you’re watching him on TV, but reading this, you feel his passion for food. It actually reads very calmly, almost sweetly. Last night my husband made me [the book’s] figs with goat cheese, and it was unbelievable.

so I’m gonna see if I can afford to buy Dwell magazine online after I check my bank balance on Saturday! If I have enough, I’ll buy it and the postage is first class so it should be here within a few days so I can hopefully get scans up if no one does so before :)

Jayma and Adam are on the cover of Dwell magazine’s June issue! Sadly, I can’t get this magazine because I live in the UK but if any of you happen to pick it up, I would love to see the scans :)
